The UK screening of "Hellboy" took place at 9pm on Saturday, August 28 at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Place, London, as part of the 2004 Frightfest Weekend, and I was lucky enough to be there.
The programme stated that Hellboy Director, Guillermo del Toro would introduce the screening, and a Q&A session would follow. But Mr del Toro had a few surprises up his sleeve, and delighted the audience by introducing Selma Blair (Liz Sherman), Rupert Evans (Agent Meyers), and Hellboy himself, Mr Ron Perlman!
After the screening - which was very enthusiastically received - the celebs returned to the stage for a short Q&A session, and stayed to sign autographs for all who required them, which resulted in a very long queue forming right to the back of the cinema and beyond!
I know that the patience and generosity of the three stars, plus director, Mr Del Toro, were very much appreciated by the cinema audience that night, and I do hope everyone managed to get their autographs before the next movie started at midnight.
