BATB fan, Diane Kenny, attended the con, and this is what she had to say about seeing Ron for the first time.

"Ron was almost 30 minutes late arriving, and there was a long line of people waiting for him. Then I heard clapping and there he was. He looked rather serious when he first arrived, but as soon as the first fan approached him he totally changed. This first fan was a young girl (her dad standing next to her) with a Hellboy figurine. He signed her figurine and when he looked up at her his whole face lit up. He talked to her for a few minutes and shook her hand. I've never seen such a change in a person.

I hung around and watched him for a while and I can tell you he smiled and talked to everyone I saw him with. After several people had visited with him he looked like he was having a good time. I'm sure each person felt like they had gotten his undivided attention."
