December 2002. From Daily Variety, 12/4/02 --- Selma Blair will pair with Ron Perlman in "Hellboy," the Guillermo del Toro-directed comicbook adaptation that begins shooting in March. Columbia plans to release the pic in 2004.

Title character is a red-hued fellow, birthed in Hell, who gets rehabilitated and trained as a crime-fighter.The film reunites del Toro with Perlman, who played a key role in "Blade II."

From Darlene - Selma Blair has extensive movie and TV experience. From the IMBD, Blair's credits include "Cruel Intentions" 1999, The MTV Movie Awards 2000, "Legally Blonde 2001, and "Sweetest Thing" 2002.

Fans of Ron Perlman may as well get used to seeing "Ron Perlman" incorrectly identified in "Variety" columns and photographs as the millionaire/movie producer Ron Perelman. The latter guests at preview events and escorts various pretty ladies. "Variety" has been informed of this error and agreed to correct it. However, "Variety's" reporters and their editors are either not taking the time to check for accuracy or they do not know the difference. The actor and the businessman do not in the least resemble each other so actor Ron Perlman's fans will have to look closely at photos and read articles carefully to differentiate the two men.
