BLADE 2 promo art and news!

Harry here, I've had a good friend see a bunch of this, and I've talked with Guillermo Del Toro about it thus far. He seems extremely happy with the film thus far. My friend that checked stuff out has becoming a raving lunatic about the movie. So much coolness, so very soon, yet how come it feels like an eternity till we see it? Oh well, here ya go with Reinhardt's report...

Harry,I happen to be in a position to be quite knowledgable about BLADE 2. There has been much talk about the various post colon titles, but now there is discussion to just leave it at BLADE 2.

As I have had the opportunity to see various segments of this film, I can tell you this, Ron Perlman's character (which I've named myself after) just completely rules the film. He is Reinhardt (liked him so much I named myself for him) and he is a member of the Bloodpack. The vampires specially trained to take out BLADE, but who must work with him to defeat the Reapers.

What are the Reapers? I know this much, after you see them, you will never be able to forget them.

I was mildly into the original BLADE, I thought the opening sequence was awesome beyond words, but felt that it never really lived up to that for the rest of the film. There was no real compelling narrative for me to care about. That is all changed here.

This has a strong female character that doesn't feel like wallpaper. It has badasses that kick as much or more ass than BLADE and what is happening in their world is just amazing to watch.

The production design has been exquisite in everything I've seen. Very Mignola. Guillermo Del Toro seemed to have a lot of fun on this one. Currently a trailer is being readied as is a poster, though I haven't seen either yet. Yet. When I do mon capitan, you will be the first to know.
