Plot Summary from Region 1 DVD
Amy Martin (Claudia Christian) an attractive married woman and a member of the 'Country Club Tennis Set' is being neglected by her workaholic doctor husband, Jerry (Corbin Bernsen). Lonely and insecure, Amy foolishly falls for the seductive charms of a much younger man, Steve Sterns (Nicholas Celozzi) who is introduced to Amy by her good friend, Sheila. The love affair is very brief, as she realizes that Steve has a dark, sinister and obsessive side to his personality, or is it personalities?
Amy tries to break off the relationship, only to find that her adulterous lover has become her stalker. She also fears that Steve is responsible for the numerous brutal murders of local prostitutes. Two policemen (Ron Perlman and Jimmy Van Patten) investigate Steve and also the killings of the prostitutes; but this does not stop Steve from becoming increasingly violent and murderous towards Amy. After the death of Amy's friend, Sheila, and the killing of her dog at the hands of Steve, the police still do not arrest him due to lack of evidence.
Steve is now in a tormented state and kills his psychiatrist who knows about Steve's multiple personalities. He then attempts to murder Amy in a fit of rage at her house, only to die at the hands of Amy's stepdaughter, Milly (Vanessa Evigan).

Interesting Trivia
The screen captures from this movie (link below) were taken from the original Region One DVD, "QUIET KILL," kindly lent to me by Helen Chavez, who also wrote a review to accompany the captures.
Recently, when I bought a newly released Region 2 copy of this film, now renamed "NIGHTMARE BOULEVARD" (and re-packaged after the success of "HELLBOY"), I noticed that Ron had been upgraded from third to first billing on the front cover of the DVD.
Also, a very surprising discovery was that two short extracts from Helen's review on this site had also been featured on the DVD (and duly credited), along with several of my screen shots. These screen shots (seven in all) are the only ones displayed on the DVD cover, and feature only Ron's scenes in the film. So, although Ron's role is comparatively small (but very memorable), you've only got to check out the cover of this new DVD release to realize that it's definitely been packaged as a Ron Perlman film. Even the plot summary on the back cover has been changed, and now begins:
"While a serial killer keeps the city in the grip of fear, Detective Perry (Ron Perlman) sets out to find the perpetrator."
This is a small B movie, and Ron has played bigger and better roles, but it's good to see that at last he's being considered by the world of marketing as a bankable star!
